Why did you start this business?

As a transplant from Philadelphia, she began her employment in Atlanta as a Legal Assistant with Coca-Cola in 1989. She was, unfortunately, laid-off in May of 2013, but the good news is she had a “Plan B”, her coffee business.

Why did you enter into this industry?

I worked in the beverage industry for 30 years, so moving in coffee was just a normal transition.

What challenges did you face launching your business?

Staying focused and consistent while remaining flexible.  Life changes, people change so you too have to adapt to the ever-changing world.

What experiences did you learn from corporate America?

Working for Coca-Cola for 30 years taught me the ins and outs of the beverage industry.  In addition, there is where I learned people skills, management skills, and how to work together as a Team.  For me, teamwork is the key ingredient to success.

What helped you transition from corporate employee to entrepreneur?

I was actually forced into the transition, but the skills I developed along the way were instrumental in helping me to find my way as an Entrepreneur.

What tools do you use to help manage your business?

I mainly use Social Media – Facebook for my business and that works for me!  Most of my customers are on Facebook so this is a great way to keep them in front of the products and abreast of new and exciting things happening in the business.
