What services does your business offer?

We offer accounting and financial services for businesses and the guarantor.

Why did you start this business?

I begin my accounting firm out of mere desperation. My full-time gig with a then rank as Top Five (5) Accounting Firm relocated my position to another state. I was given the choice of retaining my six figure salary or taking my severance package and discovering my own path. I decided to discover my own path because I no longer wanted to be part of the “Who Move My Cheese” community.

Why did you enter into this industry?

My education is in accounting, and looking back being an Accountant is what I wanted to pursue at the age of ten (10).

What challenges did you face launching your business?

Creating systems was my start-up challenge. I now have created a system for having systems created for all of my businesses. It is the first thing I create before putting anything in motion.

What experiences did you learn from corporate America?

My corporate America experience of processes (systems) helped me get on track with having an effect and effortlessly operation.

What helped you transition from corporate employee to entrepreneur?

My transition that helped me leverage from an employee to a business owner was having to be somewhere every day. I am conditioned today that even if I don’t have scheduled appointment(s) “I GET UP, DRESS UP and I SHOW UP” to my office every day.

What tools do you use to help manage your business?

I use software that communicates to my clients consistently four times in a year during the off-peak season. In that communication, I provide updates on important accounting and financial news.

Morning/Evening routine:

I read a scripture from my NLT bible. I then meditate for 10 – 15 minutes in the morning, then I walk my dog for about 3 miles every morning or evening depending on my husband and my schedule. Before bed, I prepare my to-do list of 5 things for the next day and then I write in my daily journal of my daily events, dreams, and aspirations.

Favorite quote:

“Anytime you see someone more successful than you are, they are doing something you aren’t.” Malcolm X

3 Things in your purse you cannot live without:

A good writing pen, my daily journal, and my phone.
