Who would not want to wake up and network with phenomenal women of Atlanta? This morning I got Cori on the bus and rushed to grab a seat at the Power Breakfast hosted by Girl Power Hour and The Atlanta Voice. I saw so many women that I admire in Atlanta and met other women to add to my network.

After breakfast, we had the chance to hear from Janis Ware, Publisher of The Atlanta Voice, as she moderated a panel discussion.

The panel consisted of:

Justine Norman Boyd- Regional Development Director, United Negro College Fund

Tiffany Gatlin- CEO, Latched + Hooked Beauty

Sara-Elizabeth Langford-Reed- Former First Lady of Atlanta

Leona Barr-Davenport- President & CEO, The Atlanta Business League

Asta Armbrister-Rolle, Consul General to The Bahamas Consulate

These women gave us nuggets of wisdom and left us inspired and ready for world domination. My two favorite quotes came from Sarah- Elizabeth Langford-Reed and Leona Barr- Davenport. Sarah said it is ” our responsibility to help other women” and Leona said that you have to “own your space” in rooms where you are the only female. Both quotes gave me confirmation that I am on the right path. Here are a few pictures from today’s event.
